Wollensak Versar Portrait & View F6 8x10 (296mm) Convertible Large Format Lens This is a Highly desirable lens that is know for its soft and moody still life and portrait looks with very high quality. This is a Wollensak Versar Portrait & View F6 8x10 (Convertible by removing an element) said to be an 11.625" (approximately. 296mm f6) black enamel coated brass barrel lens set into a Wollensak Regular" Shutter. This lens shows on the barrel, “ Versar Portrait & View • F-6 8x10 • Wollensak Rochester ” The lens is set into a Wollensak Regular shutter with dual aperture scales f6 - f45 and the other f16-f64. This lens comes exactly as shown with the barrel showing minor age with Beautiful glass. The barrel shows some paint wear with its rear brass edge showing a small metal split. The lens is complete with its front and rear elements. The glass is surprising nice and clear - glass looks great with No scratches, No fungus, light dust with normal edge balsam. The Wollensak shutter sets nicely with the right trigger and fires from the left trigger. The speeds work at T and B and 1 second - 100th sound the same fast speed (maybe 1/100th?). The aperture works (somewhat rigid movement) but it is possible that one blade is stuck as the shape of the aperture is more tear drop than circular. This is a great lens indeed…. This lens measures: approx. 4 inch tall Rear barrel diameter approx. 63mm front hood diameter approx. 74mm Ring outer diameter: 4-3/16" Ring inner diameter approx. 81mm This lens also includes its proper back enamel brass mounting ring and its paper Wollensak front lens cap (cap show smiler wear).
