These ruffles are so delicate, they may have been exactly the same way then, as they are now. These are a very fine material, I believe it is porcelain. This is old and it was in my parent's home when I was a child . She had these in her glass curio cabinets from as far back as I can remember. After she had a stroke, and she went into a nursing home, we packed everything and put it into a storage unit. She passed away years ago and as much as it hurts to sell these treasures of hers, I can not keep them. I have my own keepsakes and I have no room for a new interest.
