Nice Versar Portrait & View F6 8x10 Convertible Lens set in a Regular Wollensak Shutter with 3 homemade wooden lens boards and what looks like the original box. The lens is in excellent working condition and very good cosmetic condition, especially considering its age. The barrel shows signs of use and wear as I have tried to show in the photos. Functionally, the lens is in great shape. All shutter speeds including Time and Bulb look, by eye, to be right on. The aperture functions smoothly and evenly and all settings appear correct. The front and back glass elements are clean and clear with no scratches, fungus, or haze. This is a beauty of a collectible lens, known for its high quality portraiture and soft focus at wide apertures. From the original Wollensak catalog: "The high speed of the Versar makes it desirable for ordinary studio work, including bust, full lengths and groups, and because of its small size, and high speed, is a practical objective for home portraiture and work of similar character... its construction is such that it is very desirable for enlarging and copying.
