Royal Crown Derby Old Avesbury cups and saucers near match pair Two Cup and Saucer sets I'm calling this pair of cups and saucers a "near-match" because there is a slight difference in the colors of the two saucers. The cups look to be identical in design. One saucer has a smaller and lighter patch of brown in the lower right rim. It's a fairly pale tan brown color, extends 1/4" into the rim while the other plate is wider at 3/8". There's a light difference in that area to the bunch of flowers closest to the flying bird. Also that plate has much deeper colors of red and green - almost jewel tones, while the other plate is more muted, highlighting the browns and golds. In the photos, the saucer that's standing is the one with the darker, jewel tones. Still, both plates are the identical pattern and have the same markings on the back side, and the same version of the Royal Crown Derby mark - in brown on all four pieces. Condition Notes : Very Good+ estate condition. Slight difference in the colors of the transfers on the two saucers: one has a wider patch of dark brown on the outer rim than the other.
