Description
RARE! ANTIQUE MATCHED SET ~ A, Muller, Luchsinger & Co., NY ~ Viktor Schramm Framed Chromolithographs ~ 12" x 17" The image on the left is titled "Cruel Optimism", and the image on the right is titled "A Letter To Pape", ca 1898, The lovely scenes show a mother assisting her young daughter as she practices her piano lessons and then as she composes a letter to her father surrounded by beautiful late Victorian décor. If you look closely the pair appear to be the of the same in each printing. Each c hromolithograph on their own are rare, I could only find one example of each, but as a MATCHED PAIR they are beyond rare. The prints are in wonderful condition with crisp detail and gorgeous color. The frame is a beautiful Victorian wooden frame with scrollwork embellishments on each corner. One is lifting at the corner and there is some paint loss, but the frame is in great condition considering it's probably more than 125 years old. Whether you are a collector of c hromolithographs, of A, Muller, Luchsinger & Co., NY or of Viktor Schramm's artwork these beautiful pieces of Victorian art are a must have. Don't let them pass you by. See Photos ~ the Chromolithographs are in excellent condition ~ the frame appears to be original and is in great condition FOR ITS AGE
