Description

P&S Visual Quality 13 Inch 1:4 Lens: Excellent condition! The glass is in phenomenal condition. There is a very faint tint on one edge (bottom left 2nd image). You can't see it when you look through it though - just in the reflection on the surface. There's a tiny bubble from the manufacture (sign of top quality glass) and a little dust, but it really looks amazing! The diaphragm is smooth. The paint on the outside has some wear but that is the worst thing about the lens. It's mounted on a working Packard shutter, on a 8 15/16" wooden lens board. It has a flash sync and the nozzle for the pneumatic tube to go through the lensboard and connect to the shutter (needs the tube and bulb). The lensboard isn't perfect but it looks light tight. Due to the two piece construction that crack along the front doesn't look like it will let any light in. It could be mounted on a different lens board or this lensboard could be cut down to a little smaller to fit a different camera (not sure what this one fits). I don't have any lens caps for it. This is one of the rarest lenses I've ever seen! Just a few exist in the world, apparently - there are only records of 3 or 4 others. It's a 13 1/4" f/4 soft focus lens that is legendary among pictoralist photographers. The other Visual Quality lenses are f/4.5 but this 2B is a huge f/4. The lens by itself weighs about 4 pounds. It's got a 4" diameter and is just over 5" long.
