Description
Great antique socket Circa 1890's sockets designed by Lange for the Thomson-Houston bulb. Add the screw-in Edison adapter for the bulbs of today (adapter not included). Tested, and working well. From a large personal antique lighting collection of a 40 year lamp restorer in Michigan, USA - see our store for more from this collection. The paddle on one socket is not marked, the other is marked Bryant. They are otherwise a matching pair. The brass seems to have either a copper or bronze plating, which has a nice warm aged patina, and could be polished if desired. No large gouges, cracks or hairline splits in the brass - just one teeny tiny ding in one socket cover and two in the other (see closeups - not noticeable unless inspecting closely like we are). ;) One of the porcelain socket bases has a chip, however this does not affect the screws (see closeups). No maker's markings on the socket covers. Skinny boy / slim cylindrical shape.
