Description

Wonderful pair or original watercolor and ink paintings offer out of my living estate sale today from right here in Kansas City. A coordinating matched size pair of 8" x 18" Village Street Scenes set in gorgeous Mahogany wood frames for a total framed size of 10" x 20" by great native Italian and Kansas City resident Hallmark Head artist Asterio Pascolini. Asterio was born in Italy in 1932, studied early in life in Florence, Italy before coming to Kansas City in 1958 to also attend the Kansas City Art Institute and begin his career with Hallmark Cards. He would later become the head artist at Hallmark prior to retiring to a painting career until his death in 2014. These 2 works were painted in sequence in 1968 to certainly be a set, and they have survived in magnificent condition as well as being set fine frames. Wonderful color, warmth and expressionist style make this fine pair a great addition to many decor options and certainly carry a strong value through the talent and history of this fine Italian American artist. As always in seeking new homes for my lifes collection, I offer protective packaging, free shipping, a worthy charity donation and utilize the "BEST OFFER" format to acknowledge all fair buyer considerations. Of course, with the historic tie to Hallmark, it is very possible I may be hand delivering this wonderful pair of paintings right here in the K C metropolitan area instead of shipping. Either way they will have a happy new home.
