Description

FINALLY FINISHED THIS!!! What can I say This is the worst lens that I've sold so far... Last time I looked there were a dozen better examples on Ebay. The strongest reason for buying this? It's been in the U.S. for at least 20 years... so it hasn't been near Fukushima. Really, really reaching... no? The best REAL reasons are for the good shutter, and maybe for a replacement rear group. MAKE ME AN OFFER THAT I CAN'T REFUSE! Fuji 250/6/3 lens in a silver ring Copal shutter - VERY LIGHTLY USED. Will cover 8X10 at infinity. The filter size is 49mm. I purchased this lens in a private sale ~20 years ago, and it's been in storage ever since. I've never used it. It was kept stored in a climate-controlled and smoke-free environment. Both lens caps are replacements. Lens serial #: 10738004 Shutter Serial #: 177092 THERE ARE SURFACE SCRATCHES ON THE FRONT ELEMENT!!! Unless you catch it in the right light, they're invisible. Get the lighting just right, and it looks like someone took 100 grit sandpaper to it. I included the best photos I could get. Reality? They are very hard to see and are easily overlooked unless you have the right light. Their effect on photographs? Unknown. I think the scratches are only reflection-coating deep. Only someone who has actually used a lens in this condition could know the probable effect on photos. There is no "fogging". There is no fungus. There are "cleaning wisps". There is no "Schneideritis". There is no oil on the shutter or iris blades. The coating is NOT flawless. There is no inter-element dust. The iris blades are symmetrical. The shutter intervals sound accurate and consistent. I tested the shutter with my Calumet shutter tester: SEC: MEASURED 1 - .93460 / .93449 / .93559 1/2 - .48969 / .49143 / .49012 1/4 - .23514 / .23580 / .23605 1/8 - .14308 / .14390 / .14301 1/15 - .07836 / .07729 / .07817 1/30 - .03801 / .03815 / .03969 1/60 - .02079 / .02065 / .02049 1/125 - .01158 / .01171 / .01164 1/250 - .00587 / .00580 / .00603 1/400 - .00499 / .00494 / .00487 These speeds were all checked at F/6.3. As is common with mechanical shutters, the fastest 2 speeds are 1/2 - 1 stop slow, every other speed is well within tolerances. The speeds are very consistent - which is what is really important. If you want an excellent used example of this lens... you've haven't found it. My lenses offer "added value". These lenses haven't been produced in 15+ years. This lens has been packed-away in a climate-controlled house in a smoke-free environment for the past 20 years. It hasn't bounced around in a car trunk in 120-degree Arizona summers, been used in a dusty desert or in Florida humidity. I test them with a shutter tester and give the buyer a shutter timing report - no one else does that. That alone is worth 50-$100. And the report is an assurance that a CLA will not be necessary - Carol Miller at Flutot is charging $160 for that these days. SO, BUY IT NOW! Buy it for the shutter. Pay extra shipping for the heavy glass. Take it off my hands. U.S. SALES ONLY! NO P.O. BOXES! I WILL ONLY SHIP DIRECTLY TO THE BUYER. I WILL NOT SHIP TO A 2ND PARTY OR FREIGHT-FORWARDING COMPANY.
