Description
The difference in softness between the f4.8 Kodak Portrait lenses in shutter and the f4.5 in barrel is notable. These loose their magic brilliance quickly as they are stopped down. The barrel version has long been my favorite because the advertised 1/50th on the shutter version turns out to be about 1/25th which a good running Packard shutter can do easily. Glass on this lens is pretty much flawless.as is the coating. The rest has seen some life activity. I don't blame you if you want a mint one, but this one will save you about $250 bucks and will shoot just as well. Maybe better. You won't be afraid to take it in the field.
